SHERYL is a 2023 horror satire film directed by Justin Best in which a beauty obsessed woman goes on a murderous rampage to create a perfect face. As the mask imagery is heavily used throughout the film, I wanted to recreate it in a less literal fashion. I utilized classic digital collage techniques to layer various images from other influencers on top of the lead actress' face. The paper cutout look is intentional, as I wanted to call back to beauty magazines; where many of these ideas of perfection were cultivated.
